Research & Education

Research
The ICF is on the forefront of coaching industry research. In addition to our two recent major research endeavors, the ICF Global Coaching Study and the ICF Global Coaching Client Study, the ICF hosts the ICF Research Portal on this Web site, Coachfederation.org. The ICF Research Portal is home to a growing body of articles, case studies, journal articles, and other materials related to the coaching profession. This one-stop shop for coaching research is open to all ICF members and the general public. Go to ICF Research Portal.

Education
Education is key to the ICF's core purpose to advance the art, science and practice of professional coaching. The ICF offers a variety of educational opportunities of highest caliber for our members including Virtual Education programs, the ICF Annual International Conference, a world-renowned Credentialing program and more.

ICF Virtual Education sessions are free to ICF members and offer Continuing Education Credit Units (CCEUs). Non-ICF members may attend sessions for a fee. Visit the Virtual Education page for more information.

Each year the ICF hosts its Annual International Conference. At the core of this event, are diverse educational sessions presented by world-renowned speakers and educators. By attending conference educational sessions, ICF members can earn multiple credits toward renewing an ICF Credential in a short span of a few days. Visit Conference and Events for information on upcoming conferences.

The ICF offers the only globally recognized, independent credentialing program. More than 5,600 coaches have earned one of three offered ICF Credentials since the program began over a decade ago. Visit the Become Credentialed page for more information.

In addition, those looking for an ICF approved coach training program can use the Training Program Search Service on this Web site to find a program that matches their needs.
